Spiders in North Carolina And Florida

When I was leaving EB&D's in NC, they showed me the awesome spider above in the corner of their front entrance. I was very impressed.

But when my sister took me to the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve at Ponta Vedra beach, I realized Florida spiders really have North Carolina spiders beat. There were hordes of them in webs between the trees, and they were huge! Very cool.

For comparison, many of the spiders were the size of my hand!
