Return to Gough: Update on the Wreath Nest And Nest Above The Freshly Painted House's Door

Yesterday we mist netted at our Gough site, then checked the nests there. I am happy to report the nest in the wreath is doing well, all four nestlings are still there and have grown significantly.


The nest over the door whose trim was being painted last time we were there is also doing well. There are still three eggs in it, and the female was on the nest incubating. Both of these nests are probably doing so well in part because of the shelter they derive from being in a building, for it continues to rain on and off, and is in fact raining again today.
